MBBS Abroad for Indian Students

Study medicine in Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or Uzbekistan. NEET-UG is required for Indian licensing. NMC does not pre-approve a college list — we shortlist against FMGL 2021 and the university invoice.

Why Us

Why Choose Global Edge?

FMGL before the deposit

We check duration, English medium, same-institution internship and WDOMS. NMC does not stamp a college list for anyone.

Transparent, invoice-first fees

No donation as a university fee. No fake “from ₹18 lakh” or “₹2 lakh/year” country price. You plan from the current invoice in Indian rupees and the live forex rate.

End-to-end support

University shortlisting, application, visa paperwork, travel briefing and arrival coordination — counselling still does not guarantee a seat or a visa.

Career path after the degree

FMGE/NExT and Indian CRMI are explained up front. A foreign diploma is not an Indian licence.

On-ground arrival support

Airport pickup and hostel/registration help in the destination, coordinated from the Delhi office.

11+ years in Green Park

Since 2012. 5,100+ students counselled — a counselling count, not an FMGE pass-rate or a seat promise.

Process

How It Works — 6 Simple Steps

Free counselling. It does not guarantee admission, a visa, FMGE/NExT, or a licence.

1

Book Counseling

NEET status, budget, city preference and FMGL fit — from Green Park, New Delhi.

2

University Selection

Shortlist schools you can verify on WDOMS, with English-medium confirmation in writing.

3

Application & Letter

Academics, passport, NEET, and any interview the university schedules.

4

Visa Processing

Student visa or Georgia D3 as that destination requires. Not visa on arrival for a Georgian MD.

5

Fee Payment

Pay the university invoice — or a documented Global Edge service contract. Education-loan guidance available.

6

Travel & Arrival

Fly on the invitation timeline. Local support for hostel check-in and faculty registration.

India licensing

NEET, FMGL 2021 and practising in India

🇮🇳 Why families look abroad

NEET-UG demand in India is far larger than government MBBS seats. Private Indian packages are often in the tens of lakhs to over a crore — confirm current prospectuses. Abroad is not a shortcut around NEET or around FMGE/NExT.

What FMGL 2021 requires

  • At least 54 months of the degree
  • 12-month internship at the same foreign institution
  • English as the medium of instruction
  • Then FMGE or NExT, then Indian CRMI

What NMC does not do

NMC does not publish an approved foreign-college list. WHO does not approve colleges for Indian licensing. WDOMS is a directory listing. Read the NMC study-abroad desk before you pay.

How to Decide

Which country is best?

There is no single winner. Match degree structure, city, invoice and visa path to the student.

🇷🇺

Russia if

You want a six-year English General Medicine track and can work in Russian on the wards. Start with universities that publish fees.

🇬🇪

Georgia if

You want an ECTS MD and shorter flights, and you will budget for a D3 visa plus Tbilisi living costs.

Kazakhstan if

Almaty or Astana is the fit and you will confirm English-medium hours and internship location in writing.

Kyrgyzstan if

Osh or Bishkek is the campus, and you will treat agent package totals as unverified until the faculty invoice arrives.

Uzbekistan if

You accept the 2025 Tashkent legal-name change and that ₹2 lakh/year marketing is not a current official band (plan about ₹2.7–3.8 lakh/year).

Before You Pay

Three checks we run with every family

Confirm the programme, the invoice and the visa path before any payment.

Is the programme English-medium, at least 54 months, with internship at the same university — and listed in WDOMS?

FMGL 2021
Student-side duty — not an NMC stamp

Does the offer letter match the fee page? Kazan is about ₹6.0 lakh/year (billed in RUB). TSMU USMD is about ₹11.5 lakh/year. Everything else needs the invoice.

University invoice
Not an agent brochure total

Can this student actually get the visa? Georgia is D3 + residence permit. Russia and Central Asia need a student visa after invitation.

Myths Busted

Top 5 Myths About MBBS Abroad

Myth

“NMC-approved country”

NMC does not endorse a foreign-college list. You verify FMGL 2021 for the specific programme.

Myth

“Georgia is visa on arrival”

Indian ordinary passports need a D3 study visa and a residence permit. e-visa is short-stay only.

Myth

“Uzbekistan is ₹2 lakh a year”

English-medium tuition is commonly about ₹2.7–3.8 lakh per year. Confirm the invoice.

Myth

“WHO approved = Indian licence”

WHO does not approve colleges for NMC. WDOMS listing is not a licence. FMGE/NExT and CRMI still apply.

Myth

“Abroad skips NEET”

For Indian licensing eligibility, NEET-UG qualification is mandatory for a primary medical qualification obtained abroad.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Most asked questions about studying MBBS abroad.

Yes, if you are an Indian or OCI student who wants to be eligible to licence in India. NMC treats the NEET-UG result as the eligibility certificate, provided Graduate Medical Education marks are also met. Qualifying NEET is not the same as an All-India counselling rank.
No. NMC does not publish an approved list of foreign medical colleges. Students must confirm that the specific programme meets FMGL 2021 (duration, English medium, internship at the same institution) and check WDOMS. Read nmc.org.in before paying fees.
There is no single package. Planning bands on this hub run roughly from about ₹2.7 lakh per year (some Central Asian faculties) to ₹6.8 lakh or more (several Georgian MD tracks). Kazan State Medical University lists English General Medicine at about ₹6.0 lakh per year (billed in RUB). TSMU’s USMD is about ₹11.5 lakh per year for non-Georgian citizens. Six-year totals move with forex, hostel and living costs — confirm the invoice.
Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan often sit at the lower end of published tuition bands, but “cheapest” depends on the university invoice, hostel and the city. Georgia is usually not the low-cost option. Reject a flat ₹18 lakh or ₹2 lakh/year headline.
Only after you meet FMGL conditions, pass FMGE or NExT when that exam applies to FMGs, complete Indian CRMI, and obtain State Medical Council registration. Graduation abroad does not confer an Indian licence.
Usually not for English-medium tracks in these five countries. Some Georgian MD programmes use an English interview instead. Follow the university’s current admission order.
No. A six-year MD generally requires a D3 study visa via geoconsul.gov.ge (often through a visa centre in India) and a residence permit after arrival. The e-visa is for short stays, not a degree programme.
In April 2025, Presidential Resolution PQ-149 / PP-149 merged Tashkent Medical Academy, the Pediatric Institute and the Dental Institute into Tashkent State Medical University. Confirm the current legal name on the offer letter. Also read NMC alerts that mention Chirchik.
Yes at a working clinical level in Russia and most Central Asian faculties, because patients rarely consult in English. Georgian MD tracks still use Georgian on many wards.
Public universities publish tuition. Any extra “donation” demanded by a middleman is not an official university fee. Pay against a university invoice or a documented service contract with Global Edge.
The main intake across these destinations is September. Some Georgian and Central Asian faculties also run a winter intake. Visa and invitation timelines can close earlier than the classroom start date.
